Operational update
AHS Recycle has co-launched not-for-profit circular consumption initiatives. Together with Mengniu, AHS Recycle established a strategic ESG collaboration to promote low-carbon development and consumer participation in sustainable consumption, while landing a local public welfare project to celebrate World Earth Day. Joining hands with Guyu, Cotton Times, and Freshippo, the partnerships urge the recycling and reuse of empty skincare containers, second-hand clothes, and paper products.

ATRenew appoints Mr. Mervin Zhou as director
On April 26, ATRenew announced the appointment of Mr. Mervin Zhou as a new member of the Company's board of directors (the "Board"), the compensation committee of the Board, and the nominating and corporate governance committee of the Board, to fill the vacancies arising from the resignation of Mr. Lijun Xi. Mr. Mervin Zhou is a vice president of JD.com (NASDAQ: JD and HKEX: 9618 (HKD counter) and 89618 (RMB counter)) and head of Strategic Investment. The appointment reflects ATRenew’s commitment to excellence and strategic growth. ATRenew expressed the gratitude to Mr. Lijun Xin for his outstanding contributions during his tenure.
Mr. Rex Chen, President of ATRenew presents new practices in second-hand products circulation at Hainan International Consumption Season Forum
On April 14, the Hainan International Consumption Season Forum took place in Haikou, spotlighting green circulation. Mr. Rex Chen, presented a keynote speech on the circulation of second-hand products. “ATRenew, as a corporation, follows the national guidelines and proactively drives the circulation of used goods through trade-in programs. This not only benefits consumers with convenient solutions to dispose of used goods for economic rewards but also provides incentives for consumers to purchase new.” Mr. Rex Chen also showcased ATRenew’s innovative practices in business and technology upgrades, and their contribution to industry expansion, standardization, and digitalization.

Local regulators issue action plans following central government’ promotion of massive trade-in of consumer goods
Taking Shanghai as an example, the municipal government issued a notice on the “Shanghai Action Plan to Promote Large-Scale Equipment Updates and Trade-in of Consumer Goods (2024-2027)”, proposing to “improve the recycling and reuse system” and supporting second-hand product transactions. The plan proposes to “promote the standardization of second-hand electronic product transactions, explore the formulation of standards and specifications for information removal on used electronics, and prevent leakage and malicious recovery of user information” and to “support the construction of online platforms and offline markets for second-hand product transactions.”
